The VHS hosts a number of noontime lectures that are open to the general public. Held in the Society's Robins Family Forum, the Banner Lecture series continues to be a highlight of the VHS calendar for many people. Learn more

See You in Class

Beginning in September, the VHS will offer three new classes as part of the "See You in Class" series. On September 17, Walter Witschey will discuss "New History of an Ancient American Story: Unlocking the Secret Code of the Maya." Beginning September 24, Brig. Gen. John W. Mountcastle (USA, Ret.) will teach a class entitled "Over There! Virginians Fight the War to End All Wars, 1917–18." And October 29 commences a class on "A Concise History of Richmond's Architecture," taught by Robert P. Winthrop. Learn more
